LH-510 Escalator Cleaner Installation & Pre-Operation Instructions After Delivery

1. Check the Accessories After Unpacking

After opening the outer packaging, first check the machine and all standard accessories.

The standard accessories include:

  • 1 × Handheld cleaning tool

  • 1 × 8-meter 2-in-1 hose

  • 2 × Roller brushes

  • 1 × Allen key

Please make sure all accessories are included. If anything is missing or damaged, please contact us immediately.


2. Install the Machine Handle

  1. Remove the two screws on both sides of the handle.
  2. Lift the handle upward.
  3. Reinstall the screws on both sides.
  4. Tighten the screws securely using the Allen key.
  5. Check that the handle is firmly installed and does not move or wobble.

Important: Make sure the handle is securely fixed before operating the machine.


3. Install the Roller Brushes

  1. Lift the machine head.
  2. Step on the brush lifting pedal to raise the machine head.
  3. Release the brake pedal.
  4. Slowly pull the machine backward until the rear caster wheels are on the ground.
  5. Continue lifting the front of the machine and carefully lower it backward so that the brush installation area is accessible.

Installing the Roller Brush

  1. Remove the stainless-steel brush cover.
  2. Press the button inside the cover and pull out the stainless-steel cover.
  3. Take the roller brush and position the end with the hexagonal coupling toward the inside of the machine.
  4. Push the roller brush inward until the hexagonal coupling is fully engaged.
  5. Check that the brush is correctly positioned.
  6. Reinstall the stainless-steel cover.
  7. Insert the longer side of the cover first and align it with the locking point.
  8. Slightly move the brush to make sure the cover is correctly positioned.
  9. Press the cover firmly into place until the button pops back up.
  10. Check that the cover is securely locked.

Important: The roller brush must be correctly installed and the cover must be fully locked before starting the machine.


4. Install the Handheld Tool for Vertical Surface Cleaning

When cleaning the vertical sides or surfaces of an escalator, install the handheld cleaning tool as follows:

  1. Lower the brush head at the front of the machine.
  2. Disconnect the clean-water hose from the front of the machine.
  3. Disconnect the suction hose.
  4. Take out the 8-meter 2-in-1 hose.
  5. Connect the clean-water hose of the 2-in-1 hose to the machine's clean-water connection.
  6. Push the connector firmly into place.
  7. Connect the suction hose to the machine's suction connection.
  8. Insert the end with the metal ring into the machine.
  9. At the handheld tool, connect the clean-water hose first.
  10. Then connect the suction hose to the handheld tool.
  11. Check all connections to make sure they are secure before starting cleaning.

5. How to Disconnect and Store the Machine After Vertical Cleaning

After completing vertical surface cleaning:

  1. Turn off all machine switches.
  2. Release the pressure in the clean-water hose.
  3. Operate the water valve on the handheld tool to release the remaining water pressure.
  4. Disconnect the clean-water hose from the handheld tool.
  5. Disconnect the suction hose.
  6. At the main machine, disconnect the clean-water hose first.
  7. Then disconnect the dirty-water/suction hose.
  8. Organize and store the hoses properly on the machine.
  9. Finally, step on the brush lifting pedal.
  10. Raise the machine head and return the machine to its normal storage or transport position.

6. Final Inspection Before Operation

Before using the machine, please check the following:

  • Handle screws are securely tightened.

  • Roller brushes are correctly installed.

  • Stainless-steel brush covers are securely locked.

  • Clean-water hose connections are secure.

  • Suction hose connections are secure.

  • Dirty-water hose is correctly connected.

  • Brake and brush lifting mechanisms operate normally.

  • The clean-water tank has been filled with clean water.

  • There are no foreign objects around the machine that could affect operation.

After completing all checks, the machine is ready for cleaning operation.
