Before operating the machine, fill the clean water tank with clean water.
Important: Always use clean water. Do not use dirty or contaminated water.
The clean water tank has a capacity of 32 liters. Under normal conditions, approximately two buckets of water are sufficient to fill the tank.
Before starting the machine, please check:
Position the machine at either the top or bottom of the escalator, depending on the escalator's running direction.
Place the machine at the top of the escalator.
Place the machine at the bottom of the escalator.
Place the machine perpendicular to the escalator.
Make sure the entire cleaning head is positioned above the first moving step of the escalator.
Once the machine is in the correct position:
After positioning the machine correctly, turn on the three switches one by one.
After all three switches are turned on:
The normal pressure reading should be approximately 2.
At the same time, check the water recovery system and make sure the vacuum nozzle is working properly and recovering the wastewater effectively.
The actual cleaning time depends on the length, running speed, and level of contamination of the escalator.
Start the machine and allow the escalator to complete one full cycle while the machine performs spraying, brushing, and water recovery.
After one complete cycle:
Turn off the water spray switch.
Then allow the escalator to run for another full cycle.
During this cycle, the machine will mainly recover the remaining water from the escalator steps.
After the second cycle, check the cleaning result.
If the escalator has reached the desired level of cleanliness, the cleaning operation can be completed.
If additional cleaning is required:
Additional cleaning cycles can be performed according to the actual level of contamination.
After the cleaning operation is completed:
Press the brush pedal to raise the roller brush away from the escalator steps.
Turn off the relevant operating switches, including:
Make sure the machine has completely stopped operating.
Release the brake and carefully pull the machine away from the escalator.
The escalator step cleaning process is now complete.
The LH-510 can also be used with the side-panel cleaning tool to clean the vertical surfaces of the escalator.
Connect the side-panel cleaning tool to the machine.
Make sure the clean-water hose and recovery hose are securely connected.
Turn on the first water spray switch on the right side of the machine.
Allow clean water to flow through the hose.
Hold the water-control valve until water starts spraying from the nozzle.
Once water is spraying normally, turn on the vacuum/recovery switch.
When using the side-panel cleaning tool, the correct operating angle is very important.
Keep the squeegee at approximately 85°–90° to the escalator side panel.
Start from the bottom and pull the squeegee upward.
While pulling the squeegee upward, spray water onto the area being cleaned.
Control the amount of water and avoid unnecessary spraying.
Once the required area has been wetted, stop spraying and continue pulling the squeegee upward until reaching the top.
Clean the side panel section by section, making sure that each pass slightly overlaps the previous pass.
This prevents missed areas and ensures a more uniform cleaning result.
Do not use the side-panel cleaning tool like a conventional brush by repeatedly scrubbing back and forth.
The recommended method is:
Pull from the bottom upward in smooth, overlapping passes.
This provides a more consistent cleaning result.
If the escalator side panel has heavy oil or grease contamination:
This can significantly improve the cleaning performance on heavily contaminated surfaces.
After completing the side-panel cleaning, do not disconnect the water hose immediately.
Follow these steps:
Turn off the two operating switches.
After turning off the switches, operate the water-control valve briefly to release the remaining water pressure inside the nozzle and hose.
Once the water pressure has been completely released, disconnect the clean-water hose.
This prevents residual water pressure from causing water to spray out when the hose is disconnected.
Fill the water tank → Position the machine → Lock the machine → Engage the brake → Turn on the three switches → Lower the brush → Check the pressure → Check the vacuum system → Clean for one cycle → Turn off water spray → Run for another cycle → Check the cleaning result → Repeat if necessary → Raise the brush → Turn off the switches → Release the brake → Remove the machine.
Connect the side-panel tool → Turn on the water spray → Wait until water comes from the nozzle → Turn on the vacuum system → Maintain an 85°–90° angle → Pull upward from the bottom → Overlap each cleaning pass → Apply degreaser for heavy grease → Complete cleaning → Turn off the switches → Release water pressure → Disconnect the water hose.
Before operating the LH-510, please ensure that the machine is securely positioned and the brake is fully engaged.
Always keep hands, clothing, and other objects away from the moving brush and escalator components.
Use appropriate cleaning chemicals according to their manufacturer's instructions.
Please follow the above operating procedure to ensure safe and effective cleaning performance.
